Valentine with a twist as BlossomHills school holds movie date

It was a red affair at Blossomhills school on February 14, Valentines day with a movie date for the students. the day kicked off with a film show for the primary section.
The nursery and primary school pupils saw the cartoon movie “charming” after which they had fun dancing. For these pupils valentine was a fun activity sharing in the excitement of the day.

For the secondary school students it was a movie date with a twist. The students organized their own timeout.
It was a a semi formal movie date with tables categorized into platinum, gold and VIP based on how much they paid. The highest fee was N500, whilst the lowest was N50

An all student affair which allowed the senior secondary school student to bring a date from amongst themselves.
The student saw the movie “Blended”, a hilarious comedy film while they were served refreshments of various sorts like popcorn, soft drinks, prawn crackers, zobo drinks, goundnut and chinchin, and fried meat and ponmo. It was indeed a special timeout for the students as they laughed and munched together in a relaxed atmosphere .

Speaking with PNEB, Mr. Feyi Olasode the admin Manager who doubled as chaperone and chief planner said the idea of allowing students invite a date was geared towards helping them celebrate valentine’s day in a modest way. He said “we knows some of them are in a relationship, rather than feign ignorance, we decided to organize this Programe allowing them to do the planning and organizing so that we can observe them”.

In addition, Olasode said the intention is to send those dating to the school counselor. He said the need for counseling is to help guide the students in making proper decision and not to victimize them.

The proprietress Mrs Laura Ashiedu was very pleased at how the event turned out.

The students also had a time of dancing to wrap up the event. It was a day of decent fun and sharing on valentine’s day.
