Top 5 Most Expensive Schools in Nigeria.

Education is seen as the passport to a better life in Nigeria by many citizens of the country so they strive to attain the best education that money can buy. Private school’s mission in Nigeria has helped boost morality and academic excellence in many ways at a huge cost, one of which is; giving improved education and also inculcating respect traits to students with their vast learned teachers. Many parents cannot afford these expensive schools and would rather settle for a less expensive school where they feel their kids would get quality education.

If you are a parent in Nigeria and you want to have an idea of some of the most expensive and good schools in Nigeria in 2021, this list will give you heads up.

1. American International School, Lagos

American international School Lagos is the most expensive in Nigeria. The school offers preschool through 12th grade, and high school students graduate with a United States High School diploma.

AISL uses the American system of learning and also follows all the curriculum and syllabus used by the average American high school. Another thing to note is that there is almost no difference in studying abroad when you’re studying in this school.

AISL is an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) World School. It will surprise you to realize the school fees are paid in US Dollars.

American International School, Lagos is the most expensive secondary school in Nigeria currently with an approximate tuition fee of N5.5 million.

2. British International School, Lagos

British International School, Lagos is the second most Expensive Secondary School in Nigeria and it is situated at Landbridge Avenue, Oniru Private Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is a multinational co-educational English medium school established in September 2001.

They offer IGCSE and A-Level courses. The tuition fees are also paid in dollars but can be approximated in naira to be N4.5 million annually although, this fee includes their feeding, uniforms, textbooks, etc.

3. Grange High School, Lagos

Grange operates as a co-educational, English National Curriculum, independent, day school set on beautiful grounds within the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ikeja. on the mainland part of Lagos in Nigeria.

Grange School was founded in 1958 by a group of well-meaning British expatriates, to provide educationof equivalent standard to that which obtains in the UK.

The school is said to charge about N 4.48 million

4. American International School, Abuja

The American International School of Abuja (AISA) was founded in 1993 by the agreement of some parents and the US embassy for the need to make it easy for those wanting to make their children study overseas.

This school is one of the most prominent and well-respected secondary schools in Nigeria especially in the country’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

AISA tuition fee per annum is summed up at around $20,970.00. The before mentioned figure includes other smaller fees such as the Application fee, Capital building fee, Annual development fee, and others.

5. Lekki British International High School, Lagos

Lekki British International School, Lagos was the first British boarding international School in Lagos and it was established in September 2000.

The aim of the school is to allow children discover and develop their unique talents within a disciplined and caring, traditional British School environment.

This secondary school is one of the most expensive secondary schools in the country right now and registered students in this school are mandated to pay a tuition fee of $19,500 and around N200,000 as a development fee.  In other words, a student pays N4,000,300 per session, including feeding, school uniforms, hostel, Sunday wear, and textbooks.
