The euphoria of graduation was evident in the students of Command Day Secondary School Oshodi, as they painted the sky in their trademark green color to mark their Valedictory Service for the class of 2018.
The ceremony which saw top personnel take their places on the high table to witness the glamorous occasion lived up to its billing as they delivered top-notch speeches to the outgoing students.

The Commandant of Command Day Secondary School Oshodi in the person of LT COL MA BUKAR gave his opening remark to the student. In the remark which lasted for over 10 minutes, he acknowledged the presence of everyone present at the event.
He stated “we are indeed grateful to have you in our midst…we feel greatly honored by your presence. I can assure you that your presence here this morning is a source of great motivation and encouragement to the entire school.
He also made it known to the public the essence of Valedictory Service and the reason it should be recognized and practiced in modern societies today.
“A Valedictory service of Command Day Secondary School Oshodi is always such a special occasion to mark the culmination of years of hard work; the actualization of goals attained and the acknowledgement of successes achieved.”
The Chairman of the occasion who was also one of dignitaries at the event in the person of CAPT A.O EZEH RTD FCIPM addressed the grandaunts by laying emphases on their sense of dress code and generally the greater task that lies ahead.
In his speech he stated “The way you dress is the way you would be addressed. The end of a race is the beginning of another so stay focused and don’t lose your heads.”
The Commandant of Command Day Secondary School Oshodi also told the public about the forthcoming Speech and Prize Giving ceremony coming up in a week time.
He said “Consequently, in a week time from today we shall be honoring the outstanding students across various subjects during the Speech and Prize Giving ceremony 2017/2018 academic session”
Command Day Secondary School Oshodi also showed its moral standard and religious tenacity it has imbibed in its students by paving the way for Emen Usoro and Anifowoshe Ganiu, the Christian and Muslim chapel prefect who gave the first and second reading from the Bible and Qur’an respectively.
The words of exhortation and prayers for the graduating students were delivered by NAFRC CHAPLAIN PROT CHURCH and NAFRC CHIEF IMAM in the person of Rev (ssgt) INNOCENT EDEM and Sgt YAU MIJINYAWA DP IMAM respectively.
The Rev titled his exhortation “Always be on alert for life is a battle ground.” In his message he addressed the outgoing students by telling them that life is not a funfair. He also told them to always put on the armor of God.

The Chief Imam on the other hand preached about humility and obedience. In his message he told them to be humble to their parents and be obedient as well as he ditched arrogance and pride. He also spoke about their dress code as he preached decency; he encouraged them not to wear clothes that would reveal the sensitive part of their body as it is the body of Allah.

The newly elected school prefects Command Day Secondary School Oshodi performed for the outgoing students which in turn drew loud cheers from them as they came out in mass to embrace their junior ones and drew applauds from their teachers and entire staff.

The NAFRC CHAPLAIN PROT CHURCH and the CHAIRMAN offered prayer and word of advice to the grandaunts respectively. They encouraged them to aspire for greatness and do exploits wherever they find themselves in future.
