2021 JAMB Result: Step by step guide for candidates to check 2021 UTME result

The results of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) was said to be released on Wednesday 23, 2021.
This was disclosed by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who spoke at a news conference in Enugu on Wednesday.
Oloyede said he has no reason whatsoever to withhold the results of the 2021 UTME.
“The result ought to be out by now, but because I am not at the headquarters and I do not want to approve it while on the field.
“But as soon as I get to Abuja today all the examinations up to the one being taken today will be approved and released because we have no reason to continue to hold on to it,” he said.
The registrar said his team was at the Southeast to access what was going on with the conduct of the examinations as well as to visit new university in Ebonyi.
He noted that JAMB registered 1,415,501 candidates in the UTME 2021 and 1,122, 095 had taken the examinations so far while 66,111 had yet to take it.
According to him, the board has some 650 examination centres across the country, out of which, 30 centres have been delisted for performing below standard.
“53 centres are currently under watch while 600 of them performed excellently.
“It is our wish and desire that the board will continue to ensure that such non performing centres with ulterior motive will not be allowed to participate in the exercise,” he said.
How to check 2021 UTME JAMB result online
- Go to the JAMB result checking portal for https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults.
- Enter JAMB Registration Number/Email Address in the required column.
- Click on ‘Check My Results’.
- The portal will load result if it is ready.
How to check JAMB result via SMS
- Candidates to send RESULT, via SMS, to 55019 with the same number used to register for JAMB.
- If a candidate uses a phone number not used to register, an error message which hints that the candidate did not use the number to register for the exam.
- Candidate with result will receive message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result are as follows… (and will provide the details).
- If JAMB withholds the result, it will still a send message to tell the candidate “Result Withheld”
How to Print Original JAMB Result Slip
- Login to JAMB profile through https://www.jamb.gov.ng/EfacilityLogin
- Under the list of post Registration e-Facilites (at the left side of the page), click on di “Print Result Slip”
- Click on “continue with payment” to make payment through the Remita platform.
- After payment is successful, candidates may proceed to print result slip by ‘selecting your exam year’ and entering ‘JAMB Registration Number’ in the required columns
- Candidates will need the original result slip to tender during admission screening at any tertiary institution of their choice.
JAMB’s response to candidates that missed the 2021 UTME exam
Report any complaints to e-ticket on the JAMB Portal.
Many of the administrators that conducted the exams also proffer assistance to help.
Candidates with complaints like late coming due to curfew can be able to resolve it.
Candidates have to navigate to the e-ticket section on the JAMB portal to make formal complaint.
JAMB create e-ticket portal in which each candidate will be able to lodge their individual complaints.
Candidates will also be able to monitor and effectively treat the complaint.
On the portal, candidates will click Ticket/support at the menu bar.
Then, will click create support Ticket to lay complaint or click Access Existing Ticket.
They can also send sms to 55019 to make same complaints.
JAMB Acting Director, Shittu Billiaminu says they can also organize mop up examination.
This mop up will cover candidates that have other pending issues.
